Yolande Steyn

Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Yolande has been an Occupational Therapist since 1997, graduating from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Her career began in South Africa, where she worked across a variety of private practice and hospital settings, with a strong focus on paediatrics, but also gained experience in medico legal work, hand therapy, and rehabilitation. During this time, she worked in various private practices and step-down facilities but also owned and operated her own paediatric private practice.

She relocated to Australia in 2009 where she started her Australian career in adult hospitals and community settings, gaining experience across the full lifespan. After this she spent seven years at Mater Children’s Hospital as the Clinical Lead of the home visiting team (Mater at Home) and for the past six years, she has been running her own paediatric private practice in Brisbane. She recently joined CoordiKids as a flexible option to still do what she is passionate about with the flexibility to be in any part of the world and still support children and families with difficulties and make a difference in children’s lives by helping them to reach their full potential.
