CoordiKids Certification Course

A course for occupational therapists providing information about CoordiKids courses: the learning outcomes include a sound knowledge of Sensory Processing Difficulties (SPD) in pediatrics, focusing on Dyspraxia and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), observations, clinical reasoning, and practical strategies to support clients with these conditions. CoordiKids Courses are designed as practical strategies to support therapy and can be used at home, in therapy sessions, or in the classroom. They serve clients waiting for treatment or those living remotely via Telehealth, or anyone who cannot attend therapy sessions. Using CoordiKids is generally a tool to enhance and complement effective therapy interventions. Expand your therapy tools and knowledge over four modules with questions at the end of each module and the opportunity to contact the presenters with questions and ask for more information. This is a self-paced course that should be completed within 1 month.

• Module 1A: Sensory Processing Difficulties (SPD)
• Module 1B: SPD: Assessment & Intervention
• Module 2A: Motor skills, dyspraxia and developmental coordination disorder
• Module 2B: Foundation of learning, language, executive functioning, The CoordiKids Model of Skill Building
• Module 3A: The CoordiKids Courses: construction, developmental sequence, adherence and involvement z
• Module 3B: Examples of exercises, courses, bytes, and resources. Navigate the CoordiKids website.
• Module 4A: Use CoordiKids as a tool in your intervention toolbox
• A pass rate of 80% is required before continuing to the next module.
• PD hours: 6 hours
• Cost to the clinician: AU$200 + AU$9 per month for access to the courses or
• Whole practice deal:
  • AU$150 per clinician + AU$6 (2 to 5 clinicians)
  • AU$120 per clinician + AU$ 5 (5+ clinicians)
