Power Up Those Super Hands!
Hey there, CoordiKids crew! Ready to give those hands and fingers a superhero workout with CK Byte: Hand-Fingers? This course is a blast for kids aged 4-12, turning their hands into action heroes that can grab, pinch, and wiggle like nobody’s business! We’re zooming in on fun exercises to boost those hand-finger skills, making everything from writing to buttoning a shirt feel like a breeze. Get set for laughs, moves, and some serious brain-hand teamwork!
What’s the Plan?
- You’ll tackle 2 to 4 super-fun exercises per set for 5 days in a row.
- Then, take a 2-day rest (time for a high-five or a snack break, maybe?).
- Repeat those same exercises for another 5 days to build awesome hand-finger pathways using neuroplasticity (that’s your brain’s magic trick for growing stronger!).
- These exercises focus on strengthening, skill building, sequencing and more to make those hands and fingers work like a dream team.
Why It’s Totally Awesome: From better handwriting to tying shoelaces, this Byte helps kids with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Dyspraxia, or challenges with fine motor skills become hand-finger superheroes! Strong and skilled hands and fingers are essential for fine motor skills and handwriting. The exercises include strengthening and sequences that pave the way for a mature pencil grip and coordinated movements while supporting dissociation of movements, brain bridging, and dexterity.
Pro Tip:
1.Keep an eye on your child’s posture and balance—they’re super important for these hand-tastic moves! If they need a little extra help, check out CK Byte: Posture and Balance to set them up for success. For big sensory challenges, chat with one of our awesome therapists for a personalized plan—every kid’s sensory style is one-of-a-kind!
2. If your child loses their place when reading or has difficulty with eye-hand coordination, such as when playing with balls or focusing on drawings and writing, they might have difficulty with eye movement control. Consider the CK Byte: Eye control.
3. Do they look clumsy and uncoordinated when dancing, participating in sports and struggling with spelling? Consider CoordiKids Byte: Brain Bridging for developing and mastering many skills!
How to Start: Grab the first set of 3 exercises, rock them for 5 days, chill for 2 days, then do them again for 5 more days. Watch your child’s hands and fingers level up like a video game champ, building stronger brain-body connections with every wiggle and giggle. Ready to make those hands shine?
Let’s get moving!
